We are proud to announce that Drew Neckar, CPP, CHPA, CPD, Principal Consultant at COSECURE, has been awarded the 2025 U.S. Outstanding Security Performance Award (OSPA) for Outstanding Security Consultant, one of the highest honors in the security industry.
The OSPAs are part of a global awards program that recognizes and celebrates excellence in security across categories, including consultancy, management, innovation, and lifetime achievement. Winners are selected through a rigorous, independent, and anonymous judging process led by 16 expert panelists representing leading industry associations and groups.

To be honored with an OSPA is more than an award—it signifies professional excellence, leadership, credibility, and trust within the security industry. It acknowledges the measurable difference that winners have made in protecting people, assets, and institutions, while advancing the standard of security practice nationwide.
Now in their 10th year, the U.S. OSPAs were presented during the Global Security Exchange (GSX) in New Orleans, recognizing individuals and organizations that set the benchmark for innovation and impact in security.
With more than 20 years of experience spanning healthcare, education, and enterprise risk, Drew has led transformative initiatives across hundreds of sites nationwide. His industry volunteer work in governance, training, and global security standards—alongside his role as a mentor, researcher, and thought leader—continues to shape the future of the industry. These contributions are highlighted by his recent work co-chairing the committee for ASIS International that published a first of its kind American National Standard (ANSI) for School Security, as well as his work with the International Association of Healthcare Security & Safety’s Council on Guidelines which recently published new and updated guidance on weapons detection in healthcare facilities, executive protection in the healthcare environment, and human trafficking in healthcare.
As a U.S. OSPA winner, Drew is now automatically entered into the Global OSPAs, where Drew will compete against Security Consultant category winners from forty-seven other countries for the opportunity to be named the Global Outstanding Security Consultant of the year, to be announced in early 2026.
