Michael Cruz, CPP, serves as a consultant and subject matter expert for COSECURE. Michael is board certified in security management as a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) through Asis International. With more than 16 years of experience in the security industry, Michael’s experience allows him to assist our clients on a wide variety of physical security projects including risk assessment, policy review, security system design, technical specifications, and security master planning amongst others. Michael started his career as an installation technician serving the greater Philadelphia Metro area. He quickly elevated to management, supervising 20 technicians installing and repairing residential and commercial security systems. After Michael’s time as a field manager, he began designing and engineering physical security systems for large commercial clients. Michael specializes in combining multiple systems into one cohesive protection platform through integration and unification.
Most recently prior to joining COSECURE, Michael served as Physical Security Systems manager for Yale University Public Safety as an expert in physical security design and application. Michael worked with various stakeholders across the university, conducting security assessments and offering expertise on large, multi-year construction projects. Michael also sat on the CPTED (Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design) committee, where he shared his expertise and years of experience to the university helping design protected spaces that are simultaneously welcoming to the Yale University community.
